(A) Marlin Model 94 Lever-Action Rifle with 24" octagon barrel chambered in .38-40 WCF. Complete with blade front sight, semi-buckhorn rear, and full length magazine tube. Top tang has "Marlin Star" which was a Marlin Inspector's mark certifying that this gun was "as near perfection as the finest materials, equipment, and skill can make it." Two piece plain walnut stock and forearm with "white metal" forearm cap and rifle style buttplate. CONDITION: Very good with most of the original blue on the barrel remaining. Magazine tube has had finish added and exhibits several spots where there were significant dents and attempts to straighten them were made, namely at front quarter toward muzzle and middle of tube. Metal components have some usage and handling marks throughout. Receiver has faded to a dove-gray patina with serial number being moved from bottom of receiver to being hand-stamped on bottom tang. Stocks are very good as sanded and refinished with minor dents and dings throughout but remain strong. Action works correctly. Bore has worn but good rifling with darkness and freckling from poor storage. (B) Marlin Model 1892 Lever-Action Rifle with 24" octagon barrel chambered in .32 WCF. Complete with full-length magazine tube, blade front sight, and semi-buckhorn rear. Upper receiver tang has been drilled and tapped for tang sight. Two-piece plain walnut stock and forearm with "white metal" grip cap and crescent buttplate. CONDITON: Good with finish on barrel and magazine tube faded to a mottled gray-brown patina. Front sight has been filed down and painted orange to create a "target dot." Receiver has faded to a silver-gray patina. High edge wear and numerous storage and handling marks throughout. Stock and forearm are good and maintain most of their original finish with numerous usage and handling marks but are strong. Action works correctly. Bore has some freckling and darkness toward muzzle but has strong rifling. -TN-
