Lot consists of: (A) Colt Model 1878. The barrel was shortened to 3" and the ejector housing was removed and the frame modified to turn this gun into a Sheriff's style. It was made 1897. CONDITION: All of the finish was polished off and left in the white to resemble nickel finish. The gun sports pearl grips with carved buffalo head that has chip at toe and small crack, both on right side. Fine bore and action fine. (B) Colt Lightning Model 1877 that was made in 1895. Imitation ivory grips. CONDITION: All brown patina. Front sight reworked. Good bore but action needs tuning. (C) Colt Lightning Model 1877 that was made in 1893. CONDITION: 40% nickel with balance very dark brown and lots of freckling. Good rubber grips. Strong bore but not working.
