Browned octagonal barrels retain some original brown finish. Signed in full L. Fisher, Lynchburg VA. The back action locks are signed TRYON PHILADA. Engraved in the Deringer style with scrolls. The dolphin form hammers are engraved en suite with checkered spurs. German silver mounts engraved. Checkered walnut butts with German silver and steel butt traps. CONDITION: Blued steel belt hooks, one possibly replaced during the period. Stirrup rammers. Varnished figured walnut stocks are finely checkered at butt. One pistol has a tight crack extending from wedge escutcheon to German silver forend tip. Actions are good. Bores are fair. This is a fine pair of pistols with possibly Confederate association and will appeal to the collector of Deringers and southern percussion single shot pistols. From the Robert Sadler Collection.
