Lot consists of: (A) Fifth type two trigger Frank Wesson single shot rifle with dual firing pins. Blued octagon barrel with globe front sight and rear notch sight (missing). Vernier tang peep sight with adjustable disc. Nickel finish engraved frame and trigger guard. Figured grain walnut stock with engraved iron buttplate. CONDITION: Barrel retains 70% original blue with corners worn to a silver color. Bore is excellent. Receiver retains 70% nickel finish with sharp engraving. Wood has scratches and dents from usage with remnants of original finish. Mechanics are good with the exception of firing mechanism missing hammer. (B) Ballard No. 2 sporting rifle action fitted with a 1903 M22 barrel marked "SA" and dated "12-33". Original walnut stock with steel crescent butt. Walnut custom forearm. Case hardened action with aftermarket tang peep. CONDITION: Barrel retains 70% original military finish with an excellent bore. Action finish has faded to a brown patina. Wood retains 60% original finish with handling marks and crack behind action which seems to be solid. Good mechanics. DLM
