The distinguishing feature of a Pacific model is the walnut clean rod under the barrel. Features a heavy octagon barrel with standard sporting sights, standard Ballard falling block action, single trigger, and S lever. Walnut stock has rifle butt and is not checkered. Bore measures .44 and will have to be chamber cast to determine correct caliber. CONDITION: Metal retains the majority of the reapplied blue finish. The wood is very good with usual bruises and has been sanded and heavily varnished. Legends on frame are sharp. Rod is period. Fine rifled bore. This is a nice example of a rare rifle and would be greatly enhanced if the varnish was removed and hand rubbed oil applied. CORRECTION: Gun has been rebarreled. Barrel serial number is 13293.
