Only approximately 2,000 of these large bore derringers were produced from 1870 to 1881 in .38 rimfire. Standard configuration with blued half octagon barrel marked with both "VICTOR" designation and 3-line Marlin address, German silver half moon front sight, silver plated brass spur trigger frame, and 2-piece bird's head rosewood grips. CONDITION: Very good overall. Traces of original blued finish are retained on the barrel, drifting to a gray patina, with some light spots of cleaned, older oxidation. Traces of plating are likewise retained on the frame with an overall mellowing patina. Grips have some light impressions and marks, remaining very good. Strong bore and fine mechanics.
