A fine and rare factory engraved panel scene seven shot .32 caliber Merwin Hulbert with folder hammer and lanyard ring in butt. Engraved in characteristic Merwin Hulbert style with punch dots and checkerboard pattern. Revolver features panel scene on side plate with a running wolf. CONDITION: Barrel and cylinder retain nearly all of their original factory nickle with slight toning. Trigger guard retains considerable original nickle. The losses to original finish are mostly on the backstrap and front strap. Checkered gutta percha grips appear original and in good condition. Hammer retains traces of original case hardening. Bore is dirty but good. Action is tight. A fine factory engraved Merwin with finish loss as noted. According to Flayderman, this variation, marked "32 Cal. 7 shot" on the frame, is scarce.
