Likely made in the mid-1870's this gun is of higher quality and features nice scroll engraving. It is a 10 gauge gun with straight grip buttstock and is checkered in two point pattern through the wrist with small teardrops behind the action and unengraved silver plaque on top. The stock terminates in a full steel buttplate with light engraving at heel. Forearm is nicely checkered with engraved finial and wedge fastener. Engraved trigger guard bow with pineapple finial. Locks are nicely engraved with scroll and marked "W.W. Greener." Original ebony ramrod. CONDITION: Very good. Locks retain about half of their original case color. Screws appear to have been fire blued. Stocks retain most of a period of use refinish with good checkering. Barrels retain more than 2/3 of their older restored brown finish. Mechanics are excellent. Bores are good with scattered pits. JSL6
