Early 1883 Colt with some border engraving on the frame. Made with Damascus barrels and plain top rib and steel front bead. Splinter forend is checkered in two point pattern with Deeley release and triangular ebony tip. Round knob pistol grip buttstock is checkered in point pattern through the wrist and terminates with the original Colt hard rubber buttplate. Made with double triggers, extractors, and auto safety. CONDITION: Very good, as found and appears mostly all original. Barrels retain about 70% pattern. Action has turned mostly light plum. Stocks are very good and retain most of their original finish. Bores with orange peel throughout. Mechanics are fine. Overall a nice big bore Colt.
