Both with rifled four stage screwbarrels with cannon muzzles. Both flatlock plates have unbridled pans and are marked in the center "IOSSEVEL/A MOVDON". Barrels are numbered one and two. Both have iron trigger guards in the classic French style and small escutcheons around the lock retaining screws. Both with walnut half stocks. Comes with an extra screw and strip of contemporary leather. CONDITION: All iron components have been cleaned and now retain a gray patina, showing spotting and marks from use. A screw has been added to secure the front trigger guard finial on one pistol during the period of use. Both pistols function well and actions are crisp. Markings are very good. Stocks very good with a few light storage marks. A very nice pair of Revolutionary War era French Pistols. DG
