Parker Quality "3" underlifter external hammer side by side shotgun built by the Parker Gun Company in Meriden, Connecticut in 1880. Comes with factory letter stating gun was shipped to J.P O'Neil in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on December 15, 1880. Damascus steel barrels with smooth rib, bead front sight, and rib marked "Parker Brothers Meriden, Conn. Damascus Steel". Case hardened scalloped lug underlifter action with dog and scroll engraving with applied nickel finish. Walnut checkered round knob pistol grip stock with Parker skeleton steel buttplate. Walnut checkered splinter forearm with latch release. CONDITION: 40% fading Damascus pattern with finish turning a plum patina. Action has 90% of a non-factory applied nickel finish. Wood has been cleaned with checkering worn completely off in most places. Wrist has old repair. Pitted bores with tight lockup and good mechanics. DLM
