Pattern 1861 Enfield "Short Rifle" made by Tower in 1862. .58 caliber rifled barrel with blade front sight which doubles as socket bayonet attachment. Rear graduated flip sight. Percussion action dated 1862 and Crown marked at rear. Walnut full military stock with brass hardware and 2 steel barrel bands and original steel ramrod. CONDITION: As found with overall pitted surfaces and corroded parts. Uncleaned wood with usage dings and marks. Pitted bore and good mechanics. DLM
