Although converted to percussion this rare North Berlin is of standard configuration. The barrel has no proofs and appears to retain some original lacquer brown. The lock is marked with crisp S. North and Berlin Conn, U States with no eagle remaining. Holster type conversion to percussion, with civilian style hammer. CONDITION: Full stock with significant crack on left side just forward of side plate. Brass trigger guard and butt cap with deep aged honey colored patina. Ramrod replaced. Belt hook is a modern replacement. Defects notwithstanding, this is an example of the rare 1808 US martial naval pistol. Action is good. Bore is good.
