Manufactured between 1861 - 1862 with a total production of 14,500. Martially marked with a "C" inspectors stamp on the left side of the barrel, left side of the frame, in front of the cylinder, and also behind the cylinder. Brass trigger guard and 2-piece wood grip panels. 6-shot unfluted cylinder. CONDITION: Top strap has been welded back together. The main spring is not the correct spring. The latch that holds the loading lever to the barrel is incorrect. The gun has turned a brown patina. Dark bore with frosting in the lands and grooves. Grip panels show wear and have been varnished.
