Designated the Remington Lee Model 1885 and considered to be the first successful detachable magazine rifle in the world and is the basis for the British Lee-Metford and Lee-Enfield rifles. Blued bolt action and round barrel with military sights. Walnut stock with iron hardware including "U.S." marked buttplate. CONDITION: Good mechanics with added metal finish. Stock has been cut down from original length.
