Rare 8 shot pepperbox revolver made by Jacob Rupertus Philadelphia, Pennsylvania circa 1860. Blued 3" tapered 8 shot fluted cylinder/barrels with brass frame marked "RUPERTUS PATENT JULY 19TH, 1864" in circle on each side of the frame with case hardened single action external hammer, spur trigger, and 2-piece walnut grips. Approximately 3000 made. Removable ejector rod in center of cylinder. CONDITION: Overall good with metal fading to plum patina. Brass has faded to a mellow gold patina. Solid oil soaked grips. Good bores with crisp mechanics.
