A round barrel with brass fore sight, sighting notch, no proof marks, with fresh raised rust around touch hole. The lock is well marked J.J. Henry Bolton. Walnut stock with no cartouches and some fresh varnish. Mounts of standard form, stirrup rammer. CONDITION: There is a large chunk missing on the right side around the lock plate. Bore is fair. Gun appears to be original flint, with all original small parts. There are no US contracts known for this pistol and they are believed to have been made for state militia. A scarce US flintlock pistol.
