This revolver was manufactured from 1865-1868. Features real ivory bird's head grips, five shot fluted cylinder, and spur trigger. This revolver also features nickle plating with gold wash and exhibits nearly complete factory floral engraving. Traces of gold wash in cylinder flutes and rod. Retains 30-40% original factory nickle blending with smooth gun metal gray. Indexes and locks up fine with a clean bore. This revolver comes housed in a French fitted oak case. The engraving appears to be the work of L. D. Nimschke, 1850-1900, one of the most famous engravers of the 19th century.
