Massive 50-5/8" long barrel with deep rifling and .60 caliber. Lancaster style sideplate and trigger guard. Huge faceted brass ramrod pipes holding a large hardwood ramrod with hidden worm attachment in tip. Flat iron barrel keys with barrel having rifle sights. Lancaster style sideplate holding an early style handmade lock with a tipped rear controlled by a single trigger. Consignor has paperwork indicating possible manufacture for use by colonial troops in the Revolution. CONDITION: Rifle has aged patina on metal parts with unpolished brass having a golden patina.
