Winchester Model 1866 Third Model lever action musket made in 1870 and marked on the lower tang "LSM" in script for Louisiana State Militia. King's Improvement marked blued musket barrel with roller rear sight and blade front. Brass frame. Walnut musket style stock with three barrel bands, brass trapdoor buttplate and military style sling swivels. Full tubular magazine with correct length. CONDITION: Overall good with brass having a nice golden unpolished appearance. Blued parts have faded to a freckled plum color. Wood has old added coat of finish with light handling marks and dings. Missing cleaning rod in butt. Shootable bore and good mechanics. Nice honest 66 musket with historical significance. DLM
