3rd model rifle manufactured circa 1884. 24" blued round barrel chambered in the classic .44-40 cartridge with 2-line Winchester address and full length magazine tube. Blade front sight and buckhorn rear. Plain walnut forend and stock with crescent rifle buttplate containing tool compartment. CONDITION: Very good. Traces of factory blue retained in protected areas with balance a soft gray patina. Cartridge elevator exhibits a pleasing mustard patina. Stock is lightly sanded retaining some light impressions and other marks. Good bore with well-defined rifling. Action cycles appropriately. BAS
