1892 vintage Model 1886 serial number 66196. 26" round barrel with button magazine. 3 leaf fold down rear and Lyman small bead front sights. Chambered in .45-90 WCF. Plain straight grain walnut stock and forearm. Shotgun butt with black composite buttplate. British proof marks on receiver, barrel, and bolt. Number "14012" neatly stamped on top breech of barrel, number "9228" stamped on bottom of barrel forward of magazine. Forearm cap drilled for sling eye, eye is missing. Sling eye mounted to stock. Blue with case case hardened receiver, lever, and hammer. CONDITION: Very good. Barrel has 75% original blue blending with a brown patina overall. Receiver mainly a nickel color with traces of case color in protected areas. Hammer and lever have traces of case color. Wood is sound showing moderate to heavy use with areas of wood missing around upper and lower tangs. Bore is fine with light abrasion. Action is tight and crisp. -MKS-
