1895 vintage Model 1894, serial number 2465. 26" full round barrel with full length magazine tube. Chambered in .25-35 WCF. Three leaf fold down rear and German silver blade front sights. Plain straight grain walnut stock and forearm with rifle style crescent buttplate. CONDITION: Very fine overall. 80-90% original blue on barrel with scattered freckling. Magazine tube is refinished or possibly a replacement. Receiver has 5-10% original blue mixed with patina. Loading lever, hammer, buttplate along with the forearm cap have been refinished with bright color case hardening. Fine bore with strong rifling and minor abrasion. Action is tight and crisp. Stock and forearm are excellent showing minimum wear with a light coat of finish added. PROVENANCE: From the Carl Balderson Jr. Estate Collection. -MKS-
