Single shot parlor pistol produced by an unknown manufacturer in Germany and subsequently retailed by A.F. Stoeger. The top left flat of the barrel is marked "A.F. STOEGER, INC. / NEW YORK CITY", with the left side marked "769" followed by faint German "(Crown)/ U", "(Crown)/ G", commercial proofs, as well as a faint caliber proof. Left side of frame bears the serial number, with the right side bearing a set of "(Crown)/ B" and "(Crown)/ U" commercial proofs. Underside of barrel is stamped "MADE IN GERMANY". Barrel features a lustrous blue finish, with the frame, hammer, trigger, and trigger guard exhibiting a duller blue finish, as well as several small strawed frame mounted components. Octagon barrel measures 12 - 3/8" in length and features a fixed blade front sight and a fixed square notch rear sight. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips. Underside of barrel matches the receiver via the last 2 digits of the serial number. CONDITION: Very good, with metal components retaining the majority of their factory applied blue finish, exhibiting mild edge wear and scattered superficial handling marks overall. Grip straps exhibit wear and thinning through to gray and brown patinas. Brilliant mirror bore, exhibiting well defined rifling throughout. Grips show a few minor marks from handling and storage, but are otherwise fine.
