Circa 1961. A beautiful over/under game gun with 26 - 1/2" barrels and 28" barrels. Barrels are nicely fit with ejectors, 2 - 3/4" chambers, and ventilated machine ribs. Ribs are fit with small round white mid beads and red front beads sight. Chokes are (A) Improved Cylinder and Improved Cylinder. (B) Chokes are Full and Modified. Barrels read with patent numbers and "MADE IN BELGIUM" on right of top barrel. Top barrel on left reads with Browning St. Louis and Montreal locations and "Special Steel - 12 GA.-Shells 2 3/4". The boxlock action with brushed coin finish is exquisitely engraved with floral scrolls with flying, sitting and swimming ducks at wooded pond on right. On left there are flying, standing pheasants in open wooded field. Bottom action also with floral scroll and a pair of flying quail through a field in vignette. The gold wash single inertia trigger is protected by a brush steel trigger guard which is engraved with floral scroll and a pair of hare in the woods. The trigger guard also extends itself to a 3/4 length bottom strap that is engraved with foliate scroll. Top lever is engraved with floral scroll, stippling and checkered thumb piece. Safe slide with floral scroll, scored and with O/U in gold for barrel selection. Engraving by R. Dewil. The European walnut stock with glossy finish has interesting marbleing, round knob grip with fine over strap checkering, gold oval with initials "TJS" engraved and completed by a "Whiteline" Pachmayr brown ventilated pad. The guns matched forends with floral engraved releases and iron metals. Gun resides in vintage leather Browning case. CONDITION: Excellent, Barrels very close to new with only a few very light handling and assembly marks. Mechanically excellent. Stock with several rubs/handling marks. Forends with light handling marks. Case is good with some scratches on exterior. Interior has some light rubs and soiling. Beautiful gun. CP
