German external hammer drilling with side by side shotgun over rifle barrel made in Germany by J.P. Sauer & Sohn, Suhl for Charles Daly in circa 1900. 27" Damascus Steel shotgun barrels with matted rib and barrels marked "FINE DAMASCUS BARRELS". Blade front sight with flip up bead and rear tang flip sight. Barrels are 12 gauge with 32 caliber rifle barrel (8mm?) with extractors. Engraved case hardened back action external hammer action with side opener lever with light floral engraving, double triggers, steel trigger guard, and tang side lever rifle/shotgun selector. Checkered walnut pistol grip stock, standard comb, and steel checkered buttplate. Matching checkered splinter forearm with friction release. CONDITION: 90% original Damascus pattern with some edgewear and freckling. Action has traces of original finish. Wood has traces of original varnish. Good bores with good mechanics. DLM
