Colt 1917 Army double action revolver with holster rig, clips, and ammunition. Made November 1918. Marked "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" under the barrel. Butt is marked "U.S./ARMY/MODEL/1917". Rampant Colt on the left side of the frame with an eagle's head proof on top of the left side of the frame. Colt serial number on the frame reads "285095", as does the number on the yoke. Round steel barrel with blade front sight. Military blue finish on all the metal components. Oil finish wood grips, and lanyard ring on the butt. Includes Mills production web sling, "US" marked leather holster (marked "G&K/1918/A.G." on the back), three half moon clips and 24 rounds of Remington-UMC marked .45 auto on half moon clips, in an original Remington box. Head stamp on ammunition reads: "REM-UMC/18". CONDITION: Metal retains 90% or more of its original finish with some light handling marks and scratches. Grips are excellent with a few handling marks. Crisp rifling in the bore. Mechanically excellent. Holster and belt are good overall with light wear. Ammunition looks to have been stored properly, box is fair with rips on the edges. JWA
