Model 1877 Lightning double action revolver manufactured by Colt in 1903. Left side of barrel is stamped "COLT. D.A. 38", with Colt's 2-line address across the top. Left side of frame bears patent information followed by the encircled Rampant Colt logo. Frame is mounted with 2-piece Colt logo checkered hard rubber grips. Matching numbers are present on the frame, trigger guard, as well as on the bottom of the rear grip strap. CONDITION: Metal components retain trace to fair amounts of their blue finish, with the balance a gray patina, with some scattered areas of darker gray patina overall. Very bright bore, exhibiting some mild inactive oxidation and well defined rifling throughout. Grips show some scattered marks from handling and storage as well as heavy smoothing, but are otherwise fine. MLW
