Model 1877 Thunderer manufactured by Colt in 1902. Left side of barrel is stamped "COLT. D.A. 41", with Colt's 2-line address across the top. Left side of frame bears stampings stipulating the patent information followed by the encircled Rampant Colt logo. Frame is mounted with 2-piece Colt checkered hard rubber grips. Matching numbers are present on the frame, trigger guard, as well as on the bottom of the rear grip strap. CONDITION: Metal components retain a mottled gray patina overall, with areas of mild inactive oxidation overall. Bore is bright, exhibiting areas of inactive oxidation and retaining well defined rifling throughout. Grips show heavy smoothing overall with some scattered marks from handling and storage. MLW
