This beautiful Belgian FN bolt action sporter is dated 1952 on the barrel and is stamped "MADE IN BELGIUM". Barrel was made without any provisions for sights. Features a Mauser action, blued finish, and a beautiful custom walnut stock with black forend tip, sling eyes, beautiful hand checkering, pistol grip, roll over cheek piece, Neidner style buttplate, wrap-around checkering at wrist, beautiful wrist, and Neidner style pistol grip cap. CONDITION: Rifle is in near new condition inside and out and is tracked with a Redfield Tracker SE 3-9 scope, standard crosshair, with great optics. A classic Mauser sporter. CORRECTION: Further examination has confirmed that the stock work was performed by Al Biesen. Underneath the action, along the front of the arm, is carved “Made by Al Biesen Spokane WN”. Checkering includes a double headed arrowhead on grip cap. Al Biesen worked out of his shop in Spokane Washington until his death in 2016. Additionally, Biesen was known for abbreviating Washington as WN instead of WA. FN Supreme action dated for 1952 stamped on receiver underneath wood.
