Well made early hammer combination gun with steel barrels. Wedge fasted forend is uncheckered. Back action locks with light vine scroll and floral engraving. Hammers are also nicely engraved. Top tang with flip up peep sight. Trigger guard with thumb push opener, bow is nicely engraved. Carved wood tang. Butt with cheek piece on left, and well carved elk towards butt. Appears to have had a patch box on right side at one time. Sling swivels towards toe and bottom rib of barrel. CONDITION: Good to very good. Barrels retain most of an older restored blue. Stocks have been restored with subsequent varnish added and filling in butt checkering and show various handling marks with repair on bottom left stock finger. Shotgun barrel is very good with orange peel, rifle barrel shows some erosion in lands and grooves. Mechanics are fine. In her day, this was a glorious combo gun!
