The basis for this revolver is a standard US Army issue Model 1917 government stamped New Service with a 5 1/2" barrel in .45 ACP caliber. It features near full coverage engraving with scroll patterns with deep relief carved large cat on left side of frame and Mexican Eagle with snake on right side of frame. There is a relief carved horned steer on right side of barrel. The entire gun was plated very nicely, not chromed. The backstrap has an owner's name engraved "Gral. Rodolpo Fierro". The grips are polished horn. The original lanyard is present. CONDITION: Revolver retains most of the reapplied nickel finish with fine grips. Bore is fine and cylinder indexes correctly. A very handsome New Service.
