German "Kipplaufbueschse" single shot stalking rifle in 8.15x46R marked "HUBERTUS", "7,7 m/m", 11 11", "214", and with "BUG" proof under the forearm. The serial number "2544" is under the forearm as well, and there are no import marks. Blued octagonal matted barrel is missing the front sight blade, has a fixed rear sight which is adjustable for windage, and has 3 screws protruding from the rib as the barrel has been post factory drilled and tapped. Receiver (nickel plated), trigger guard, breech release, and tang have engraving. Rifle has a tang mounted safety. Walnut stock has a replaced butt plate, sling swivels are mounted on the barrel and butt stock, and a German style hunting leather sling is attached. CONDITION: Rifle is overall good to very good and retains 50-55% of it original blued finish with patina. Nickel plated receiver retains 75-80% of its finish, and other components have patina. Front sight blade is missing, and 3 screws have been added to the barrel rib. Stock has been refinished, has scattered marks and pressure dings, and a 1" square section on the left side behind the receiver has been replaced. Butt plate has been replaced at some point. Bore is bright, set triggers function properly and rifle is mechanically sound. WEZ
