Police Positive double action revolver manufactured by Colt in 1922. The left side of the barrel is stamped "COLT POLICE / POSITIVE .38", with Colt's 2-line address across the top. Left side of frame bears the Rampant Colt logo and "VP" proof. Features include a blued finish, 4" barrel, half-moon front sight, frame notched rear sight, as well as 2-piece Colt checkered hard rubber grips. CONDITION: Excellent, with metal components retaining bountiful amounts of their original factory applied blue finish, exhibiting some light wear on either side of the muzzle showing through to pleasant gray and brown patinas, as well as some areas of freckling overall. Cylinder bears an extremely light dragline. Mirror bore, exhibiting sharp and well defined rifling throughout. Grips are excellent, save for a loss and for a notable crack and loss on the butt of the right grip panel. An extremely attractive example of a 1922 manufactured Colt Police Positive revolver. MLW
