Ithaca Model 37 trench style slide action shotgun with bayonet. Frame was made in 1967. This appears to be a standard model 37 Featherlight which was then turned into a trench gun some time post-War. It does bear a "US" stamp on the right frame, but it is located in the wrong place (should be a 1/2" lower on the frame). Military parkerized finish on the metal parts. Round, smooth bore barrel with a bead front sight. Oil finished hardwood stock with numerous rack numbers on the stock. Hard plastic buttplate. Includes aftermarket web sling and 1917 dated Springfield armory marked bayonet with canvas scabbard. Cylinder bore, 2 - 3/4" chamber. CONDITION: Metal retains 90% of its parkerized finish with mild wear on the sharp edges. Stock is very good with minor handling marks. Bore is shiny. Mechanically fine. Sling and bayonet are very good overall. JWA
