Built circa 1930 by Iver Johnson Arms and Cycle Works, Fitchburg, Massachusetts, this lot features fluid steel barrels with raised matted rib with brass front sight. Case hardened boxlock action with rolled dog engraving on each side. Double triggers with ejectors. English style straight stock with Iver Johnson logo buttplate. Splinter forearm with latch release and walnut stocks. CONDITION: Barrels retain 40% blue fading to brown with light pitting. Bores are bright and shiny. Action retains 40% case colors fading to silver. Stock has added coat of varnish that has started to ripple due to storage in a hot attic. Action locks up tight but has a weak opening lever spring.
