Lot consists of: (A) Winchester Model 97 slide action shotgun. Made 1946. Barrel assembly and frame numbers match. Smooth bore, round steel barrel with a bead front sight. Blued finish on the frame and barrel. Hard wood stock set has been lightly sanded. Added rubber buttplate. Full choke, 2 - 3/4" chamber. CONDITION: Metal retains little to none of its original finish with heavy wear and patina. Stock is good overall with handling marks, scratches and wear. Clean bore. Action is tight. Mechanically fine. (B) Winchester 1897 slide action shotgun. Manufactured 1902. Barrel assembly and frame numbers match. Smooth bore, round steel barrel with a bead front sight. Blued finish on the frame and barrel. Hardwood stock set has been sanded at some point. Steel butt plate. Full choke, 2 - 3/4" chamber. CONDITION: Metal retains little to none of its original finish with heavy wear and patina. Stock has minor wear, gouges and numerous cracks on the fore end and butt. Bore is fair with numerous spots of pitting and wear. Slide is loose. Hammer is tight. Mechanically operable. JWA
