Manufactured 1900, Colt Model 1896 Army .38 Colt revolver with 6 inch barrel, blue finish and 2 piece smooth walnut grip with US Inspector cartouche on left side at base. Inspected by Renaldo A Carr (RAC) and marked on butt "US ARMY MODEL OF 1896 " serial number on butt 142610. Comes in 1909 dated butt forward US leather holster inspect by EEB. CONDITION. Very good with over 75% original blue finish remaining. Bore is good and action operates properly. holster is very good with supple leather and strong stitching. Markings are string and legible. (B) Manufactured 1909. Colt Army Special with 6 inch barrel chambered or 32-20 Winchester cartridge. Blue finish with early Colt hard rubber grips. CONDITION. Fair. dark bore with the revolver retaining virtually no original finish Grips are worn but serviceable. Action is very loose but does function. tdw
