Lot consists of (A) World War II era Springfield M1 Garand with canvas sling and butt stock cleaning kit. October of 1944 receiver production with correct Springfield 11-44 barrel. Most parts appear to be Springfield, with the exception of the operating rod which is "HRA" marked. World War II "lock-bar" rear sight. Late trigger guard and gas plug. Stock is Springfield marked with a U.S. acceptance stamp on the pistol grip. Sling is unmarked. CONDITION: Overall very good. Metal is very clean, retaining 90% of its original finish. Stock is near excellent with crisp markings. Bore has some frosting, but crisp rifling. Muzzle measures a 3, throat measures 4. Sling and cleaning kit are very good. (B) World War 2 era Springfield M1 Garand with canvas sling and buttstock cleaning kit. November 1944 receiver date. Barrel is dated 11-44 and is Springfield production. All major parts are Springfield Production. World War II Style "lock-bar" rear sight. Later style trigger guard and gas plug. Stock is "S.A" marked and retains its U.S. acceptance mark. Sling is unmarked. CONDITION: Overall very good. Metal is very good, retaining 90% of its original finish. Stock is very good with light handling marks. Bore is clean with solid rifling. Muzzle measures 2, throat measures a 1. Sling and cleaning kit are very good. These rifles would make a great addition to anyone's World War II collection. JA
