Rare L.C. Smith Long Range Field Grade shotgun made by Hunter Arms Company in 1924. One of 1940 built and one of 232 built with 30" barrels. Blued 30" Armor Steel 12 gauge barrels with extractors, matted rib, 3" chambers, and brass bead front sight. Case hardened Regular frame with barrel lug marked "LONG RANGE" with 3 position safety and double triggers. Plain checkered walnut stock with hard rubber grip cap and buttplate. Matching checkered splinter forearm with friction release. CONDITION: 90% original blue on barrels with areas fading to silvery patina in carry areas. 80% fading case colors with some splotchy discoloration. Wood has 80% fading varnish with some light cleaning, a crack behind left lock plate, and smoothed area at toe of butt. Good bore and mechanics. DLM
