Mauser made "byf 44" marked receiver with all matching parts exception of bolt, which matches itself, which is typical of G.I. bring back guns. Rifle has late stamped trigger guard, late wood with fading Waffenampt and cup buttplate. Bolt, as stated, matches itself. Comes with original sling and cleaning rod. CONDITION: Barrel retains 40% finish with a shootable bore. Receiver and metal parts are worn to a silvery patina. Wood shows heavy usage consistent with combat. Sling is worn with no tears. Mechanically solid and functions fine. Great gun for a reenactor or World War II enthusiast
