Colt factory letter states that this Colt was shipped on July 16th, 1900 to Simmons Hardware of St. Louis with a 4-3/4" barrel in .45 caliber with blue finish. It remains in that same configuration except it now wears a full nickel plated finish and is fitted with two piece stag grips. CONDITION: All factory legends are present but a bit feathered on barrel. It currently retains nearly all of its reapplied nickle finish and the grips are near mint. Indexes and locks up like a vault. Bore has sharp rifling but there is some powder abrasion. Should be a great shooter or cowboy action gun.
