Designed by Burchard Behr and produced at the Sauer & Sohn factory from 1899 to 1914, with .25 ACP chambering introduced in 1906. Only around 300 are believed to have been made. Designed to be a thin folding trigger pocket pistol, this unusual pistol features superposed barrels with a manually rotated chamber block containing 4 chambers. Once 2 rounds were fired, the chamber block could be rotated into position to fire an additional 2 rounds. This example is nickel finished with 2 - 1/2" barrels marked on top flat "BAR-PISTOL" and on chamber block with patent information. Blade front sight and v-notch rear. Grips are 2-piece diamond checkered walnut. CONDITION: Good. The vast majority of the factory applied nickel finish is retained with some spots of cleaned corrosion and loss. Grips are good showing a few bruises. Very good bright bores displaying strong rifling. Mechanically fine. BAS
