Springfield Model 1903 bolt action magazine rifle built at Rock Island Arsenal in 1913. Blued barrel marked "RIA" and dated 10-12 with correct rear adjustable sight and front covered sight. Walnut finger groove stock with "CN 1912" for Conrad Nelson (RIA's inspector prior World War I). "S" on end of stock for Type "S" stock with correct one screw stock. "P" in circle proof behind trigger guard. Notched high hump handguard. Correct checkered trap buttplate with period oiler and rope cleaning tool. Blued receiver with blued correct bolt. Blued stock hardware and milled trigger guard. Comes with period leather sling with no markings. CONDITION: 80% original arsenal finish on metal parts with 80% vanish with light handling marks. Good bore with good mechanics. Nice honest rifle of collector quality. DLM
