Scarce Alloy frame Colt Cobra double action revolver with box. Made 1956. Factory letter states this gun shipped to "Mark E. Todd Guns" in California circa 1960. Gun matches the finish and barrel length given on the letter. Left side of the barrel is marked "COBRA/.38 SPECIAL CTG", with the company address marked on the right side. There is a "VP" proof on the top left of the trigger guard, and a rampant Colt pony on the left side of the frame. Six shot steel cylinder. Round blued steel barrel with blade front sight and U-notch cut out frame. Alloy frame with factory blued finish. Trigger correctly blued and the hammer polished. Factory checkered wood grips with silver medallions. Includes factory wood grain box. CONDITION: Metal retains 97% of its original finish with some very light edge wear. Grips are excellent. Bore is shiny and crisp. Tight hammer and cylinder. Sharp timing and lockup. Light drag lines on the cylinder. Mechanically fine. Box has light edge wear and handling marks. A very fine alloy Colt for your collection. JWA
