German Drilling with side by side shotgun barrels over a rifled barrel made in Germany by unknown maker circa 1900. 27 - 1/2" Wittener Steel barrels with matted rib marked "E. SCHLUTER LEIPZIG". Blade front sight and rear flip sight when rifle is selected. Barrels are 16 gauge with 8x72R rifle barrel, fitted with extractors, claw mounts, and Centrar C.P. Goerz 4x fence post reticle scope. Game scene engraved underlever boxlock action with cocking indicators, light floral and game engraving, marked "D.R.G.M.", and equipped with double set triggers (front being a set), Greener safety, steel trigger guard, and tang rifle shotgun selector. Checkered walnut pistol grip stock with scalloping behind action, cheekpiece, standard comb with game scene engraved bullet trap, and period horn buttplate. Matching checkered splinter forearm with latch release. CONDITION: 90% original blue fading to silver with some edgewear and missing front sling swivel. Action has cleaned silver style finish. Wood has been lightly cleaned with some handling marks and dings. Pitted bores and good mechanics; optics need professional cleaning. DLM
