Model of 1899 manufactured 1901. One of 1,000 produced for the United States Army. 6" round barrel with K-frame round butt frame. Butt marked "US ARMY MODEL OF 1899" checkered walnut grips with incised marked inspector "JTT" (John T. Thompson) 1901. Frame barrel and cylinder inspected KSM (Kelly S Morse). Chambered for the US .38 S&W Cartridge. Housed in a butt forward US Military flap holster marked Rock Island 1903 and unit markings on flap of G7 72 G 13 32. CONDITION: Very good with over 75% factory blue finish remaining with most losses at barrel from holster use. Bore is good as are chambers. Action operates properly. Grips are very fine with matching serial number pencil marked internally on right grip. Holster is supple with very loose to non-existent stitching. TDW
