Stevens Model 417 Ideal Walnut Hill heavy target rifle made by J. Stevens Arms & Tool Company circa 1915. 28" heavy blued round barrel with Lyman Globe front sight, Lyman scope blocks, Lyman receiver peep sight, with Stevens "X" barrel marking on left of breech and "WALNUT HILL" on top of barrel with barrel. Case hardened 44 action with Stevens marking on left, equipped with plain trigger and extended operating lever. Plain marksman pistol grip buttstock with checkered steel shotgun buttplate. Marksman style walnut beavertail forearm with blued banded sling swivel. CONDITION: 95% original blue with 95% vivid case colors. 95% original varnish with some small handling dings and marks. Excellent bore and mechanics. Hard to find in this condition. DLM
