Stevens Model 417 Ideal Walnut Hill heavy target rifle made by J. Stevens Arms & Tool Company circa 1915. 28" heavy blued round barrel with blanked front sight, Lyman scope blocks, Stevens "WALNUT HILL" mark on top of barrel, chambered in desirable 22 Hornet caliber. Case hardened 44 action with plain trigger and special order loop operating lever with Stevens marking on left. Plain Marksman pistol grip buttstock with checkered steel shotgun buttplate. Marksman style walnut beavertail forearm with blued banded sling swivel. Comes with leather carrying strap. CONDITION: 95% original blue with 95% vivid case colors. 95% original varnish with some small handling dings and marks. Excellent bore and mechanics. Hard to find in this condition. DLM
