This was the final version of the Schmidt-Rubin design. Features six shot magazine. Manufactured from 1933 to 1958 in Switzerland. This beautifully made straight pull bolt action rifle is easily distinguished by the large cocking ring at rear of bolt. Has matching serial numbers on frame, bolt and magazine. Import stamp on bottom of barrel. Bolt handle is made out of in the white metal while all other metal is blue. Rear sight is graduated to 1,500 meters. Swiss cross can be found on the upper bridge. Referred to as a short rifle. Has a sling swivel on left side of butt and on forend band. Original cleaning rod. CONDITION: Metal retains at least 90% arsenal blue finish. Pistol grip full length stock features a small finger groove forward of magazine. The stock has numerous dings and marks on the last 3" of butt on both sides, otherwise just usual dings. Mirror bore.
